The Hans Gaudenz seminar room is one of the most beautiful rooms in the castle. Situated at the head of the first floor, it offers views over Lake Constance and into the castle garden. Its facilities also include a spacious foyer, ideal for group work and coffee breaks.
The architectural highlight of this seminar room is the restored original wooden ceiling, into which light panels were integrated during the general renovation in 2016.
Namesake
This room is named after Hans Gaudenz the Younger, “Lord of Hofen and Lochen”. He was the founder of the Hofen line of the Raitenau family and, from 1583/84, the builder of Schloss Hofen. Hans Gaudenz died in 1608 and was therefore unable to witness the completion of the castle in 1616.

Yes. Seminarhotel Schloss Hofen offers 27 double rooms directly in the castle building, which can also be used as single rooms. This allows participants to travel, stay overnight, and continue the following day without any loss of time.
